Jugaadu.

জুগাড়(n.) — South Asian for making it work, your way.

Jugaadu — an AI that does. Lives on WhatsApp. Asks before it guesses. Speaks Bangla like a person, not like Google Translate.

Why this exists

Western AI was built for somebody in California typing English.

South Asians voice-note. They mix Bangla and Urdu and English mid-sentence. They expect honorifics — Bhai, Saheb, Apa, Sir. They notice when you get it wrong.

Their AI guesses and gets it wrong. Sounds like a customer-service bot. Says “I’d be happy to help!” in Bangla. Trust is gone in five messages.

Jugaadu doesn’t.

Three things this AI will never do

  1. 01

Be genuinely helpful — not performatively.

Solve the actual problem. Do not pad answers with hedging, encouragement, or false warmth. The user's time is the constraint; every word costs them attention. If the answer is one sentence, the answer is one sentence. If the answer is 'I do not know,' the answer is 'I do not know.'

  2. 02

    Curiosity over omniscience.

When Jugaadu encounters a word, name, or idiom it does not recognise — Bangla, Urdu, Chittagonian, a personal phrasing — it asks. Peer-to-peer, no apology. ChatGPT and Copilot guess and get it wrong. We ask, capture the answer, and never ask twice. South Asian register loves teaching; we built around it.

  3. 03

    Read-and-draft. Never autonomous-execute.

Every output passes through your eyes before it leaves your thumb. No autonomous emails sent. No bookings made. No calls placed. No social posts published. The trust contract is the relationship — the agent serves the principal, not the other way round.

Soon — for students, farmers, drivers, parents, the grieving, the curious.
